We count it a privilege to have your child attend Awana.  We sincerely desire this to be a fun and growing experience for both you and your child.

 

We want our Awana clubbers to realize that God loves them and that through His Son, Jesus; He provided salvation and the opportunity to have a personal relationship with Him.  Learning God’s word and obeying Him results in meaningful and rewarding lives.

 

Each week clubbers will participate in a fun active safe game time.  Clubbers will spend time singing, sharing, studying, and participating in Bible lessons during Council Time. 

 

A key feature of Awana is Scripture memorization.  There is no way to fully live God’s Word if we don’t know it.  Our goal is for clubbers to learn and live God’s Word, not just be able to recite it.  

 

Throughout the year, clubbers earn awards to display on their uniforms as they progress through handbooks.  These will be an encouragement to them and will be recognition of their achievements.

 

You are always welcome to visit club!  We look forward to getting to know you and your child throughout the club year.  Please feel free to call either myself or your child’s director if you have any questions or concerns.

Prayer Requests:

Please pray that God will provide a Director for Cubbies (3 & 4 year olds)

Pray that God will give us wisdom and His love as we minister to the kids.

Pray that the truth of God’s word would be clearly presented to the kids.

"Awana Ministry Conference", Saturday, October 2, 2010

· This year is the 60th anniversary of Awana and a special day is planned to remember God's faithfulness over the past 60 years.  We will look ahead together to seek God's blessing for the years to come.

· Please mark this date on your calendar!

It is a goal of our Awana Missionaries Jim & Bev VanMersbergen, to have every current Awana Club represented at Conference this year.  I encourage you to clear your calendar for this so that you can attend.  This event is not limited to Awana Leaders only; Pastors and children's workers are also invited!

There will be a great line-up of workshop presenters, with workshops for Pastors, Leaders, Directors and Commanders.  Sessions will be offered for personal spiritual growth and special training to help workers in Awana.  DON'T MISS IT!
